#9 Darko Mićić will be defending the pond in 2022

GH: You're entering your third season, and you only have one trophy in the club's showcase - third place in the Errea Bowl. What are the goals for 2022?

The goals for 2022 are the top 3 in the SFFL, which failed us last year, and I hope to fix that this year.

GH: In your game, you made a drastic leap, passed more TDs, reduced the number of interceptions thrown and were the leader in the number of goals scored. How do you rate your season in the regular season and in the playoffs?

The regular season turned out well, as it surprised me; we know the improvements from last year; that's for sure, we didn't really shine in the playoffs because most of us were probably trembling and nervous, at least me.

GH: You've stepped up with another passer this season; how will you approach your game and QB1 position?

I think it's a good decision that we strengthened with another passer because we can be a perfect QB pair, encourage each other, and learn from our mistakes; I think we will do well.

GH: What do you say to the fact that pitchers should pass to teammates who are "open" and not just those with whom they get along well. Who do you get along with on the court, and who do you want better QB-WR connections for in the 2022 season?

I completely agree with this; if every player does what he should do as he should, everyone will be "open". I get along great with the centre on the pitch because they also say that QB-C has to have the best connection. I want better relationships with every attacking player as everyone is on the field for one thing they want to win the match.

GH: This season will be pretty long, mainly because you decided to test yourself on the tackle version as well? How will you prepare physically and mentally for the playoffs to improve? Is there a match you are incredibly proud of and a defeat you can't forget?

I really decided because I would like to see what it's like to play there as well; of course, I learned a lot from tackle mainly because there are more of us pitchers, and we teach each other the right things. I don't know yet. I'll try to forget that we play in the playoffs. After all, when you play a game in the regular season, you're a little more relaxed because you know that if you lose one game, it doesn't throw you off track. I will not forget the defeat against Split at the Errea Bowl for a long time because I still don't know what it was like for me to play so badly, but I will try to forget about it as soon as possible. I am proud of all the matches won, especially the game against Novo Mesto Knights, because we played miraculously not as an attack or defence, but as a team; we all played as we should, we found the rhythm in that game, and I will not forget it for long.
