After the huge loss in the SFFL Ljubljana Frogs picked up the pace and won against Tigers

The last match of the second week of the Slovenian Flag Football League was played against Domžale Tigers Oranžni. In the last match against them, we suffered a heavy defeat, and this year we wanted to turn the result in our favor. Domžale had Fučko and Pajer in their team, so we knew that the match would not be easy, mainly because the Tigers Orange had beaten the Tigers Črni and Ajdovščina Gladiators in the previous two matches. Also, the Tigers Orange rested for two games while we had to play two consecutive games. That the match is going to be tense, it was seen right at the beginning, when we took the lead and Domžale mmediately returned the touchdown via Pajer.

Darko Mićić had a good match, where he showed a lot of maturity. He threw four intercepted passes in the previous game, and in this game he was playmaking the ball to his receivers with five touchdowns and a slightly worse result in PA conversions. #10 Aleks Bordon caught 1 touchdown, #15 RJ Williamson caught a touchdown and a point after and Žan Ocvirk had two touchdowns. #88 Matic Gerčar also got his place among the receivers with his first touchdown.

The defense again played very compactly, although we entered the match without the cornerback Bor Lenarčič, who suffered an injury in the previous match and will be absent from the fields. We also played most of the game without defense captain Aljoša Kous. Their gap was more than adequately filled by #15 RJ Williamson, who had an intercepted pass and two points and Žan Ocvirk, who scored 5 points, also proved himself. Dejan Godec had a great match, in which he recorded an intercepted pass from Pavlič and had three tackles, while Žiga Strgar was great and pulled out five flags. Blitzer Blaž Hrušovar also did a great job, putting pressure on the passer and making a sack at a crucial moment.

The match ended with the result 32:20, when in a key attempt Mićić found Gerčar, who put the ball in the final zone. The Tigers had 48s until the end of the game to even the score, but our defense held them back.

We finished the tournament with five wins and a loss in our account, which is a nice achievement for such a young club, which is playing in the SFFL for only the second year. Last season we had a score of 8-8 at the end of the season. The next tournament awaits us Tiger Black, Gladiators and Knights.
