First game first win of the third SFFL tournament
The first match of the third week of the Slovenian Flag Football League was played against the young team of Domžale Tigers Black.
As we announced in the previous blog, this was a duel of two MVPs of the SFFL round between our passer Darko Mićić and the opposing Črt Lapanje. Mićič shared the ball between his teammates, while Lapanje scored touchdowns for his team.
Mićić passed for eight touchdowns and seven PA conversions, thus approaching the magical hundred touchdowns in the team. #1 Alen Radic returned to flag football fields with a received touchdown, Klemen Repnik scored two touchdowns, and offense captain Žan Ocvirk scored three touchdowns and a point after conversion for one point. # 24 Lucijan Semprimožnik scored three touchdowns and two conversions for one point, and # 88 Matic Gerčar scored two point-after conversions.
In defense, #4 Dejan Godec played well again, scoring six pulled flags. Lenarčič's absence was used by #15 RJ Williamson with five tackles and one intercepted pass, Žiga Strgar had three drawn flags, while Žan Luka Cegnar got his first sack, for which we congratulate him from the bottom of our hearts. Defense captain Aljoša Kous scored two points.
An interesting match that does not prove the full potential of the Tigers Blacks, which they have in young and promising players. We will compete again on Saturday, when we will play in Kočevje, and we will have an interesting fight once again.
