In the second match of the fourth round of the Slovenian Flag Football League, we played our fourth derby in the last two years since our establishment. If the first game against Lazar Wild Hogs was a real nail-biter until the last second (34:33), then the second one was a walk in a park.

Our QB Darko Mićić had 6 touchdowns, of which one was a rushing TD, 2 PA1 and 3 PA2. He also suffered the first and only sack of the match and tournament in one of the PA conversions, thus announcing his contention for his second MVP round title in this year's SFFL season.

Aleks Bordon caught a touchdown and PA conversion for two points, #20 Klemen Repnik had a key PA conversion in the previous game to win, but he scored a touchdown this time. Offense captain, Žan Ocvirk, recorded a touchdown and two conversions for two points.
Every player who plays flag football has a team that he performs the best against. #24 Lucijan Semprimožnik has this team in the Wild Hogs: this time, he scored three touchdowns and two conversions for one point. He has amassed seven touchdowns in the entire two-match tournament and will most likely win the centre of the week again.

On the defensive side of the field, Dejan Godec collected five flags, #15 RJ Williamson has recorded his third defensive touchdown and his ninth intercepted pass and he also had four flags drawn in this match. #25 Žiga Strgar did his job routinely and recorded four tackles, which brought him even closer to the title of the best flag puller in the league. He also had his first intercepted pass of the season.

Žan Luka Cegnar is showing improved performances with every tournament and with his height and long arms, he was disrupting the trick plays performed by Kočevje players. He also recoreded two drawn flags on this occasion. #31 Aljoša Kous also had a good day, scoring 6 and adding an intercepted pass. #32 Blaž Hrušovar, the sack machine, recorded two sacks and thus improved his record from the previous season to eight, which is a great starting point for the next season.

"The match with Kočevje is always a "derby "because many of our players played in Kočevje before. Unlike the season's first game, which was tense until the last seconds, this game was more one-sided. Kočevje may have been fatigued or some other factor played role, but the match soon turned in our favour. In the match, our quarterback showed his growth again with smart decisions and good calls to action. I am glad that we kept the consistency and that there were no fluctuations in the game itself," concluded coach Aleš Makuc.
