In the second match of the day, we competed against the current runners-up OMP Knights Novo Mesto. The Knights arrived at the tournament somewhat crippled, with six players and no standard member Davorin Štravs. They played the first game against the Ljubljana Killer Bees and allowed them only 6 points. With the first match, they announced a fight for the top spots. In the second match, we waited for them ourselves. If someone asked us if we could predict the result or if such a result would occur after the last whistle of the referee, we could only dream.

So far, Novo Mesto has lost the Slovenian Flag Football League only three times in its entire history, and they have lost all three matches against Kranjski Jazbec in the 2019 season and the 2020 season.

The referee's coin toss gave us our first attack. This match was more than obvious what it means if the episode plays flawlessly, as we converted all the drives we had into points. Our defence also played at a high level. The most outstanding credit should go attributed to our high blister # 28, Žan Luka Cegnar, who made it impossible for one of the best passers in our field # 12, Tadej Travnikar, to play his game. Cegnar added two tackles, four forced incompletions (when QB intentionally throws the ball to the ground) and two forced INTs. The second blitzer # 32 Blaž Hrušovar entered the sack. # 3 Bor Lenarčič had five tackles, # 4 Dejan Godec 3, # 25 Žiga Strgar also 3, # 15 Rj Williamson tackle and intercepted the pass, and defence captain # 31 Aljoša Kous had three tackles and also an intercepted pass.
The attack worked more than sovereignly. Passer # 9 Darko Mićić probably played a career game as he passed for 6 TD, ran one, and had six conversions for PA1 and one conversion for PA2. # 10 Alex Bordon had some caught balls and PA1. # 15 Williamson recorded 2 TDs received. # 20 Klemen Repnik had TD, captain of attack # 23 Žan Ocvirk had a great match with two captured TDs, 4 PA1 and 1 PA2. Center # 24 Lucijan Semprimoznik caught TD and PA1 and thus announced the fight for the best centre of the week in the league, as, after two games, he had 3 TDs and 2 PA1 on his account.
We failed to get the statistics of the opposing team, but we know it is the only goal scored for the opposing team was by # 27 Luka Vavžik. # 13 Denis Pugelj played well and routinely in defence, probably having the most tackles in the Novo Mesto team. # 52 Jan Lajkovič showed his sacrifice with flag pulls.
Before the end of the first half, # 27 Luka Vavžik was injured after a collision with our player, who unfortunately had to leave the match early due to a facial injury. We sincerely apologize to Lukat for the situation on behalf of the club and wish him a speedy recovery and return to the flag football green. We believe that the Knights players were not the easiest because of the situation. They were left with only five players, and we are also grateful for the fair fighting spirit and professionalism until the last whistle.
If we heard right, the Knights beat the Tigers Orange in the last game of the day and thus ended the day with a score of 2 two wins.
