ENAA Ljubljana Frogs finished 2nd in the Slovenian flag football league

In the third season of our existence, the Enaa Ljubljana Frogs finished second in the Slovenian Flag Football League. We started the season stronger at all positions, but we started the first tournament too loose and started the season with two losses in the first two games. In the first game we played against the semi-finalist Domžale Tigers and lost high 34:12. In the second round we played against Ajdovščina Gladiators and beat them 46:7. In the next game we faced the reigning national champion. In the third tournament, we raised the level of our game a bit. First we defeated our eternal rival Kočevje Wild Hogs with 46:31, in the second game we defeated Blackminers with 46:19 and the third game we lost narrowly with 30:27 against Domžale Tigers, so we go into the SFFL break with three wins and four losses. Last season of flag football we had 11 wins and only two losses after the end of the regular season. 

In the second part of the season Ivan Caballero Collado, a lost frosh from Spain, came to Ljubljana. The flag footballer acquired his skills in Barcelona with the Uroloki team. The progress in our game was instantaneous. The first game was against Kranj Badgers, who played a little shorthanded, but the Frogs won 25:23. The second game of the fourth tournament was played against Ajdovščina Gladiators, which we won 34:7. In the fifth and last round we played against Kočevje Wild Hogs, whom we defeated for the sixth time in a row, with 48:13. With great excitement we awaited the game against Novo mesto Knights. We went into the game with a lot of vigour and beat the Novo mesto Knights 42:21. In the last game of the tournament we played against Velenje Black Miners (where our current ex-coach is leaving after this season) and beat them 60:30. 

We went into the final tournament full of hope for our first medal. After the regular season, we were in fourth place, which was enough to play the fifth-placed Kočevje Wild Hogs in the first game. The game ended 34:0 in our favour, which means that we defeated our opponents for the seventh time in a row and achieved our first shutout. In the semifinals, we faced the Novo mesto Knights, the team that defeated us last year in the third place game, but also showed their strength in the first game. If we had been asked about the result before the game, we would have had no idea. We finished the game with a 59-26 victory, a difference of 33 points. The final showed the superiority of Krajnski Jazbeci, who have won four national championship titles in the Slovenian flag football league in the last four years. We made too many mistakes on defence, which the Badgers used to their advantage on offence. We lost the game 47:37 and won the first medal in the club's history. Silver.
